Portland Art Museum, Dec 2025
Elaine and I visited the newly revamped and reopened Portland Art Museum. The past couple of years the museum had been partially closed to add an additional 100,000 square feet. It certainly is an improvement to the facility in any and all definitions, with more space and more interconnections between the galleries, all of which means more art to interact with and be inspired by.
The museum is closed Mondays, but otherwise is open most days now 10am-5pm. On the first Thursday of every month though, admission is free to all and they stay open till 7pm. Also, admission is always free for anyone under 18.
