Wooden Shoe Tulip Fest '21
It’s springtime in Oregon and that means of course it is time to return to the annual Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival in the farmlands outside of Woodburn. Last year, with the pandemic, it was closed, but it’s reopened now, thank goodness. With acres and acres of blooming tulips (as well as food and gifts), the festival never disappoints. The April morning that Elaine and I visited featured classic Oregon weather, with thick clouds giving way to bright sunshine and then vice versa, from moment to moment, which keeps a photographer on his toes.
