Leach Botanical Garden, Winter 2020

Leach! I love stopping by this fun little oasis tucked in the middle of Portland’s residential east side. Its 15 or so acres of lush gardens were however a bit different this time compared to my previous visits. Not only was it pouring rain in the dead of winter, but more importantly about two thirds of the place were closed for a massive renovation project. I can’t wait to see it all completed.

Leach Garden, May 2021

One of East Portland’s best spots without a doubt is Leach Botanical Garden. Full of ever-changing greenery, particularly from across the Pacific Northwest, you can find it on SE Claybourne Street, just a little off SE Foster Road and north of Mount Scott.
