Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden, Portland
In early April 2017 there was a sunny break in the middle of a long stretch of drizzly days; so Oregon photographer Amanda Ulrich and I visited the Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden in SE Portland. The park is about 10 acres packed full of foliage, most importantly all sorts of rhododendrons. And they were all coming into bloom, wow! The park is also a bit of a bird sanctuary with more types of ducks than I've ever seen.
