I shot with Myles Katherine, Portland model and photographer, in December 2015. She's a lovely, talented person and always a joy to shoot with. We had a multiple set-up shoot with different outfits and make-up by Gina Campbell. The second set centered around a sleek black velvet outfit.

In January 2016 I visited the Portland studio of Aaron Draplin. He's created amazing logos and other work for bands, brands, and even the President. Perhaps his most famous creations are the Field Notes notebooks; you use 'em and love 'em. When he enters a room, it's like a boulder bounding through. He's a big personality with an ever-present glimmer in the eye. And more importantly, he's a dedicated, focused lover of his craft.

2015 was a fun year for my portrait work, with me getting to work with a lot of amazing humans, and so I thought I'd pick some favorite shots to share again here. Can't wait to see what 2016 has in store!

Little Guillaume Paré. I took his portrait before he was even born (I shot with his maman when she was pregnant). And I took his portrait when he was a few days old. And now I've worked with him at a few days past one year old. A sweet, happy boy and fun to photograph.
