Aaron Draplin in his Portland Studio
In January 2016 I visited the Portland studio of Aaron Draplin. He's created amazing logos and other work for bands, brands, and even the President. Perhaps his most famous creations are the Field Notes notebooks; you use 'em and love 'em. When he enters a room, it's like a boulder bounding through. He's a big personality with an ever-present glimmer in the eye. And more importantly, he's a dedicated, focused lover of his craft. Portland is better for having people like him in town.
