The Oregon Garden, July 2024

Located in the town of Silverton, the Oregon Garden is an 80-acre botanical garden focused on regional plants and trees. And even though it was in the heat of summertime, we still saw many animals, including a few very happy and loud frogs.

(Please note that just beside the garden, there is a well-preserved Frank Lloyd Wright home, the Gordon house. Though we did not stop there on this visit, it is worth your time, particularly if you are a fan of Wright.)

Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden, March '24

On a cool drizzly early spring morning, there were plenty of beautiful sights in the garden, from honking geese to blooming flowers of various varieties (including, yes, rhododendrons). Oh, and one huge nutria.
