Reflection Lakes, Mount Rainier
On the south side of Mount Rainier, below Paradise, are the aptly named Reflection Lakes. Several trails — Lower Lakes Trail, Wonderland Trail, and Pinnacle Peak Trail — intersect along the parking lot. On the day. I visited however a persistent wind kept the water choppy and therefore kept the reflections at bay. We had a little picnic with some chipmunk friends and Elaine did a quick sketch of the picnic view. Even on a windy day you are guaranteed a lovely spectacle.
