On the last day of April 2017 I visited Tollen Farm on the outskirts of Wilsonville, Oregon. The farm features lots of fun animals including miniature donkeys, horses, even a llama with a most amazing face. The farm supports itself with a little shop with indoor and outdoor gifts and a bunch of cowboy boots. Me, I bought myself a multicolored metal chicken for my yard.

Nice person in Portland, Oregon, and beyond.

April 2017. It was time to return to Camassia Natural Area in West Linn, Oregon. Why? Because the camas lilies were all in bloom of course! Swan Island Dahlia Festival, 2017

In Canby, Oregon, a small farm called Swan Island has declared itself the dahlia flower capital of America. Once you visit, and walk through the explosions of color, it's hard to disagree. The only creatures happier there than flower-loving photographers are the bees. They ecstatically buzz like electrons around every flower...
