In October 2017, at the close of the dahlia blooming season, I returned to the fabulous Swan Island Dahlia farm. It was lovely to see the fields at the time when the flowers are beginning to wilt, a new perspective from my many previous visits to the farm.

We in the Portland Instagram group had an instameet today at the Swan Island Dahlia Festival in Canby, Oregon. There we saw thousands of gorgeous dahlias in the blazing summer sun.
