Back to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Fest 2016

It was a gloriously sunny morning in April 2016, so it was a good idea to return to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival in Woodburn, Oregon. We arrived a little after sunrise; a thick fog was still there, though burning off quickly, and four hot air balloons were landing and taking off among the tulips. L'Auberge, Sedona

In March 2016 I had a quick trip to Sedona, Arizona, to take pics for Visit Sedona. I stopped for lunch at the L'Auberge resort, a little oasis of calm right in the middle of town. It has an amazing natural water slide where Oak Creek cuts through a narrow canyon of bright red rock. Also, the sides of the canyon form a sort of amphitheater where people can sit and watch the swimmers (sliders) go past them.
