The Peggy Guggenheim Collection, Venice
In December 2015, I traveled to Venice, Italy, for a few shoots and a lot of R&R. There was so much to see that there wasn't much I meant to twice; the Peggy Guggenheim Collection on the Grand Canal, however, was such a place. (If I had time, I'd have had a third visit!) Maria Rita Cerilli, their Officer for Press and Social Media, met with us and took us up on their roof, with its fabulous views. Such a terrific little museum, with world-class artists like Picasso and Pollock, in a terrific little setting.

Raffaele Dessì and the Atelier Pietro Longhi, Venice
Tailor Raffaele Dessì showed us around the shop, overflowing with fantastic dresses, costumes, and other garments based on clothing in famous paintings…

      Palazzetto Pisani, Venice
In December 2015, I traveled to Venice, Italy, for a few shoots and a lot of R&R. One quick shoot was at the dazzling Palazzetto Pisani, which is a hotel on the Grand Canal, across from the Guggenheim and the Accademia. What a place! I felt like I'd stepped right into the Italy of E.M. Forster or Henry James.

      Timberline Lodge at Sunset
Recently I did a wonderful lake project for Oregon's Mount Hood Territory. At the end of one of the days, we stopped for some photos above Timberline Lodge. There are two of these posts, before and at the sunset.

      Timberline Lodge Before Sunset

Fun Signs at Ripplebrook Ranger Station
Recently I did a wonderful lake project for Oregon's Mount Hood Territory. At one point (getting lost looking for Lake Harriet), we stopped at the Ripplebrook forest ranger station. They were nice and helpful, which was much appreciated as there is no cell phone service in that part of the Cascades. A great place to stop and stretch your legs when you're in the area!
They also had some wonderful signs that I grabbed these snapshots of.

      OMHT Lake Project: Timothy Lake
In November 2015 I worked with Oregon's Mount Hood Territory (OMHT) to explore seven (and a half) lakes south of Mount Hood in 48 hours. I loved them all, but the real surprise for me was Timothy Lake, a large, gorgeous body of water southeast of Government Camp. It's a jewel, and I am amazed I'd not visited previously. But I will certainly return.

OMHT Lake Project: Little Crater Lake
In November 2015 I worked with Oregon's Mount Hood Territory (OMHT) to explore seven (and a half) lakes south of Mount Hood in 48 hours. This post is on Little Crater Lake, a few miles north of Timothy Lake, and a short, but icy drive from Oregon Highway 26 and Skyline Road.

OMHT Lake Project: Enid Lake, or Getting Lost Trying to Find It
In November 2015 I worked with Oregon's Mount Hood Territory (OMHT) to explore seven (and a half) lakes south of Mount Hood in 48 hours. This post is on that "half lake," as it were. It is on Enid Lake, a supposedly fun little spot just west Government Camp, Oregon... Or rather, this post would be about Enid, except I could not find it!

      OMHT Lake Project: Trillium Lake
In November 2015 I worked with Oregon's Mount Hood Territory (OMHT) to explore seven (and a half) lakes south of Mount Hood in 48 hours. This post is on Trillium Lake, a large lake a little southeast of Government Camp and Mount Hood.
