Elaine and I visited the newly revamped and reopened Portland Art Museum. The past couple of years the museum had been partially closed to add an additional 100,000 square feet. It certainly is an improvement to the facility in any and all definitions.

We walked miles and miles around the city center from this museum to that, from this fun spot to that. I really enjoyed myself, particularly attracted to and energized by the intellectual vibe in the air, thick like the humidity.

Tre Oci Gallery, Venice
December 2015 was overflowing with shoots in Venice. One great stop I made was at the Tre Oci Gallery in the Giudecca district. It's a terrific exhibition space that really supports photography (and other visual arts), with shows featuring internationally renown artists alongside local up-and-comers. Really warmed my heart.
