Earlier this month I visited the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival and loved every second. It was time to go back, this time with fellow photographers Amanda Ulrich and Tiana Kai. We arrived just at sunrise with a lovely veil of fog. Paradise!

It was a gloriously sunny morning in April 2016, so it was a good idea to return to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival in Woodburn, Oregon. We arrived a little after sunrise; a thick fog was still there, though burning off quickly, and four hot air balloons were landing and taking off among the tulips. You couldn't ask for anything more lovely.
Tulips never disappoint. And the Wooden Shoe farm is one of my favorite Northwest destinations...
It’s springtime in Oregon and that means of course it is time to return to the annual Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival in the farmlands outside of Woodburn.
